This is cool. Almost three years after Slappy moved in, Lennie has let Slappy cuddle up to him while he’s napping. How about that?
It’s official, tomorrow I’ll be adopting a sweet little beagle named Oscar. I’ll try to post some pictures, though frankly he looks like any other beagle He’s 10 years old but still has lots of pep.
Yesterday’s Dilbert really tickled me for some reason.
Happy holidays everyone!
My Mom made me this quilt for Christmas. Very cool:
(The picture is not as lop-sided as it looks; the stars are actually asymmetrical.)
My cat Slappy (see picture above) is sweet but an awful idiot. My artificial tree has been up for a week and he’s still nibbling the fake needles off the bottom and then shortly thereafter throwing them up. I just moved the tree up onto some furniture to try to stop it, or at least slow it down by getting it up out of his normal path.
Why don’t I ever wonder if it’s worth it? Strange…
Our concert performances are tonight and tomorrow night. There’s snow outside, but the show will go on. Hopefully some people will come to listen.
It’s been an interesting week. I caught a cold and for a while didn’t think I’d be able to sing, but I took it easy all week and found some good chemicals, so while I won’t be at full volume, I should be able to participate.
It’ll be a good concert. The music is fun, the soloists are great, and we’re ready. (Drat that snow!)
Some historical information about Christmas. Mostly thought-provoking, but a few bits of humor (e.g. the origin’s of Santa’s red coat).
Still thinking about getting a dog. I’ve been watching The Dog Whisperer, which is interesting but obviously intended more for entertainment than to actually teach you how to handle dogs.
In any case it’ll need to wait until after the holidays.
Here’s the favorite dog that I’ve known (with Lennie peeking in at the top):
